The biggest stories at the 2014 WSOP Asia-Pacific thus far involve Jeff Lisandro winning his sixth-career gold bracelet and George Danzer winning his third bracelet of the year. But one great story that’s getting lost in the midst of all this is one involving Ismael Bojang. The German poker pro took fourth place in Event #8, which gave him a A$23,688 payout. The money certainly isn’t significant here, but what is significant is that Bojang now owns the record for most WSOP cashes in a single year. The old record holder was Konstantin Puchkov, who cashed 12 times at the 2012 WSOP.

Not long ago, Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Laak learned that their TV show, Underground Poker, wouldn’t be picked up by the Discovery Channel. For Esfandiari and Laak, this represented a legitimate chance to reach the mainstream world with poker. Unfortunately, the pilot didn’t catch Discovery Channel’s interest – and Brian Roberts thinks he knows why. Roberts, who starred on 2 Months 2 Million, spoke with PokerListings about why he thinks Underground Poker failed to take off. Here’s a quick look at some of Roberts’ more-interesting thoughts on the matter as…
  • PokerStars Founder wins UKIPT Isle of Man High Roller

While Isai Scheinberg is one of the most influential poker minds of all time, none of this has to do with his playing abilities. Instead, the former IBM computer genius used his knowledge to found PokerStars and help spread poker across the globe. But now that he’s no longer involved with running Stars – due to Black Friday – Scheinberg has more free time on his hands. And he used some of this time to participate in the 2104 UKIPT Isle of Man High Roller. Now this wasn’t exactly the WSOP Big One for One Drop since the buy-in was just £2000 + £200 and only 15 players…

Hey gang... Hope you're running well at the tables and building your bankrolls to go and take a shot at the big boys Got a question for all of you who have families (wife, kids etc) girlfriends don't necessarily count unless you plan on having them around long term. How do you all balance family time with your time on the tables and studying? Learning PLO, balancing family time and a full time job is a big problem for me these days and I wanted to know how you guys did it. Right now, I'm learning that I can multi table for about an hour and a half and then my table performance begins to…

When a player is tilting a lot, the player is more then likely calling from behind way to often. If your calling from behind more then 5 to 7 % of the hands you played you will need to work on your reads more to get a better shot at taking down more pots and not be playing catch up as often. If your playing 17% to 23% of your hands then you should be calling from behind only 5 to 7 % of the time.Anything more then this your giving variance a Better chance to max out more on you. Sharpening your reads will help get your calling from behind down to a minimum.Getting this down will help your…

  • Lock Poker Payouts In October & November 2014

    admin
    15 Oct 2014 | 11:04 pm
Lock Poker was once the largest poker site open to US players in 2014. Now they rank as the smallest US poker site in October, 2014. They got booted off of the Revolution Poker Network because of their slow payouts and the fact that they were only paying some players. LockPoker.eu rebranded when they got kicked off their network and became a stand-alone room. Several months ago Lock Poker attempted to get around their evil reputation by launching SuperWins.eu, a skin that uses the same platform and has the same players. The new Super Wins poker room in 2014  should be avoided. It is kind of…
  • Free NASCAR Bets At US Sportsbooks In 2014 & 2015

    2 Oct 2014 | 3:32 am
Do you think Jeff Gordon, Dael Earnhardt or perhaps lady drive Danica Patrick is going to win a NASCAR race or Formula 1 race or maybe the Indy 500? Well if you are going to bet on a woman you might as well look for a free NASCAR bet offer at an online sportsbook for Americans since you don’t want to waste your own money. It’s not as though a woman can win a race, unless it is a race to make-up sale. I’m just kidding. You can get a free NASCAR bet in 2014 at the top US sportsbooks though. I have several free bet offers on NASCAR, Formula 1, Indy 500 or any kind of car racing…

I love playing blackjack at online casinos for USA players in 2014. Blackjack has the lowest house edge out of all the casino games. Finding the right USA online casino is important though. You want  a casino with fast payouts, easy deposits and nice bonuses. The U.S. casinos in 2014 listed below meet all of these requirements and they go a lot further than that. Players who use our link to visit the casino and use our USA casino bonus code no deposit in 2014 will get free money to play blackjack online. Each of these U.S. friendly online casinos in 2014 also have a big selection of…
  • Winning Poker Money Without A Deposit

    admin
    18 Sep 2013 | 3:58 pm
There are several reasons why a person would enjoy playing poker online without making a deposit. Some people just don’t have the extra money. Others – especially Americans – are unable to make a deposit. Other people may not want to deposit money at a poker room because they are not sure if it is legal or legit. None of these reasons will stop a person from trying to win money though. I would think that there are countless people who have built up a large poker balance without ever making a deposit. Every week there are millions of dollars up for grabs at online poker…

Well, the 2014 World Series of Poker Asia Pacific (APAC) has officially come to a close, and we’ve crowned the champion of the main event of the series. It wasn’t a quick final table, though, or at least the heads up match wasn’t. When all was said and done, we saw Scott Davies from the United States get the best of Jack Salter of the United Kingdom to win the Championship Event bracelet. The series, as you may know, is being played at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia. Let’s take a look at how this event went down, and how things go to our heads up match.

At this point, we all know about them, or at the very least we’ve heard about them. The idea is pretty straight forward, as these games are lottery-style sit-and-go’s, where players are going to have the shot to win some serious cash, regardless of what limits they are playing at. PokerStars introduced these tournaments not long ago, and they’ve burst onto the scene. If you haven’t heard about them though, the are completely different than any other type of sit-and-go that you’ve ever played. Let’s take a look at how they work, what makes them so popular,…

Well, Phil Ivey won’t be getting his money, and he didn’t win the battle against the Crockfords casino from all the way back in 2012. It took a long while for us to get to this point, but the High Court in London, the United Kingdom, has decided that Ivey is not going to receive the close to $12 million that he had won while playing at the casino. It has to be a tough loss for Ivey to take right now, but the details of the whole thing are definitely interesting to follow. According to Justice Sir John Mitting, who made the decision on the case, he stated that “if Mr. Ivey…

We’re rolling right along currently at the 2014 World Series of Poker Asia Pacific (WSOP APAC), and now we’ve crowned a champion and awarded a bracelet for the fourth event, which was the AU$1,650 Terminator No-Limit Hold’em Event. It took some time for us to get down to a champion, though, as there were three days of action, and a total of 249 eliminations before the champion was crowned. This tournament was definitely one of the most interesting of the series to this point though, as it had an interesting structure, some big names, and obviously a big pay day to the…
  • Jeff Lisandro Takes Down Sixth WSOP Bracelet

    Ryan
    8 Oct 2014 | 6:27 am
With the World Series of Poker Asia Pacific (WSOP APAC) rolling right along, we saw another bracelet handed out on Monday. The player who won it though, is a player who we know pretty well. Jeff Lisandro, the Australian, officially took down his sixth career gold bracelet to this point in his career, and his win came in an interesting AU$1,650 Pot-Limit Omaha event. Interestingly, he beat another Australian player, and a Poker Hall of Fame member there in Jason Gray during the heads up match. This would have been Gray’s first gold bracelet of his career, but he was outdone in the end by…
