It wasn’t long ago that two Governors of their respective states had set up an agreement so that the two states could join together in the online poker world. Those two Governors are Nevada’s Brian Sandoval and Delaware’s Jack Markell. It was right around a year ago that the two decided to sign the agreement, and essentially it would make it so that the two states would be able to share liquidity, as well as share the online poker player pools. This would allow the game to grow in the two states, and makes it so that the new-look online poker in the United States (which is…

Fortunately, this won’t be a Full Tilt/UB repeat, and players’ funds are safe and ready for withdrawal. We can only imagine that whatever happened on February 11th must have…

As it is currently written, HB 649 would authorize online poker in Pennsylvania, not online casino games. This is both a surprising, and not so surprising development. Hello everyone...I've been playing online poker for recreation since the days of Party Poker in the US. I've played off and on just about every site since then. I have a lot more time on my hands now because I have recently retired from my full-time job. I am looking to play more now, especially in the winter, but can not find a site that has any kind of leaderboard promotion that rewards quality of play vs. rewarding quantity of play. Are there any sites left that run a promotion similar to the old PS Battle of the Planets leaderboards? I don't care if its for STT's or MTT's. These other…

Hi guys, I haven't posted in a while, and really put poker on the back burner for a while as cash games really dried up in Los Angeles, and various life events put me in a position where I was too busy to commit myself to the game. Well, I am trying to transition away from cash games and into tournaments (I would love to play a few WSOP events this year, bankroll permitting), so I've been really focusing on the tournament scene. I knew I wanted to do some reading, and pulled out the $50 Barnes & Noble Gift Card Mom sent me while I was deployed to Iraq. I ordered 3 poker books and a…

The poker world is and has always been a magnet for fraudsters, cheats and confidence artists of all stripes, so it’s hardly news when a new scam crops up. The latest, however, is such a deep, rich vein of comedy gold that it can’t be passed up. There might be a lot of differences between being a daily fantasy basketball pro, and an actual NBA pro but at least we both get a break away from the game during the All Star Break.  This has got to be one of the longest NBA All Star breaks ever.  The first few days, Nicole and I drove 500 miles down the coast of Baja Mexico to Guerrero Negro where we got to pet baby grey whales.  It was awesome.  No internet, just desert, beach, tacos, seafood and everything that makes Baja so special. When I look back on the first half of the NBA season I am very pleased with my progress.  I have…

A lot of the resources I use to construct my lineups give me Fanduel picks as well as Draftkings.  I noticed a decent amount of disparity between certain player’s salary on Fanduel versus Draftkings, so I officially signed up for Draftkings and started playing cash games there as well.  A lot of these players I was on the fence about rostering on Fanduel,…

To refresh your Friday memory, The entire T-wolves starters were out, as well as many Bulls players. I decided to heavily stack backups for both teams. This meant including players like Shabazz Muhammad, Anthony Bennett, Aaron Books, Zach Lavine and Andrew Wiggins. The logic goes; if these backup players get big minutes then they will perform at a very low salary. Well I woke up to find that the majority of them underperformed. So what happened? A post from…
